Thanks for this! I believe many people confuse the terms complex and complicated. There’s nothing inherently “wrong” with complexity – especially when describing system design or social dynamics. Getting past the semantics of it all, the goal for design in these scenarios shouldn’t be to simplify things, it should be to clarify the complex. Pushing for clarity over simplicity acknowledges and appreciates the complexity (without dumbing things down or being too reductive) while demanding it be made clear to end users and other stakeholders within the design system/structure/situation. Clarity > Simplicity
